FARPHORIA’s founder, Xenia Busalova, an artist from the Royal College of Art and resident at InnovationRCA, developed a groundbreaking method that turns natural flora into fine jewellery.

This is how it works:

• Real flowers, leaves, berries, and plants are collected from around the world.
• Each plant is dipped in liquid porcelain, capturing all its textures—veins, spikes, curves, and edges.
• It is then fired in a kiln at 1300°C. The plant itself burns away, leaving a fossil-like porcelain shell behind.

The result? A delicate, fossilised impression of the original plant—a wearable sculpture, preserved forever in porcelain.
